OFFICIAL Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Trailer…and a Reaction…*sigh*

As it was reported, there was going to be some news coming out of the Black Ops camp today and, well, after the NBA Playoffs THIS was blasted through the airways:

Initial reaction: Cool graphics…cool everything. Welp. There you go.

…Oh yeah…before I forget…I HATE the fact that there’s such a huge futuristic world in this game. Now, it’s cool that they are doing a futuristic Call of Duty but my problem is the dramatic futuristic virtual hellscape world Black Ops 2 is set in. It’s 13 years in the future and as you can see there are tons of MECHS (that look like AT-ATs had an awesome time with a regular tank) that we have to dodge and not get killed by.

Mechs? In a Call of Duty game? NO!

Is it just me or does this look NOTHING like a Call of Duty game. It looks like something from Gears of War or Mass Effect. Call of Duty should stick to doing Call of Duty things and leave the futuristic guns, tanks and enemies out of their games. Stick to what the people came to see killing Russians, Nazis and everything in between…and the multiplayer. Keep that, too. And zombies.

I echo your sentiments completely. If they want to make a Call of Duty 2070 or something like that, put in the mechs. Otherwise, keep going after terrorists. I’m sure they could have dreamt up something better than this.

Looks good, 2 Things though, It’s Treyarch or however you spell it, and it’s only 13 years, I’ll be 45… a lot has to happen between then and now, they should have pushed the date to like 2050 or 2070 like Fuzzwad said.

It’s interesting, but yeah, feels like any other random FPS that’s out there. Lets see if they have any big reveals at E3.

Or maybe it will be like the first and I had to play the demo in order to “get” it.
