This week on Amateur Pixelation we take a ride, We meet a king, and we take a tour of Vegas, well, a beat ass version of Las Vegas.
GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES – 80MSP
Son of Datona USA? Cheaper than it’s father on XBLA!
If you remember going to the arcade to plug quarter after quarter into Daytona USA by Sega you will be pleasantly surprised by Gentlemen Start Your Engines. It plays a lot like Daytona with cartoonish graphics and a draft move to slingshot around your AI opponents, for a dollar you really can’t make a wrong turn.

WORTH BUYING: Yes! For 80msp it’s a great Daytona Clone that is fun.
AVATOUR: VEGAS – 80MSP
Las Vegas never looked so…. disappointing.
Las Vegas is one of my favorite cities on the planet. It’s like Disney World for adults. That’s why I was excited when I found this game on Xbox Live Arcade, that was until I played it. In theory it was a great idea, however to pass shoddy graphics off as 4D was kinda lazy, I know it’s an indie game but the graphics look very flat, and you can only use the copter in the demo as well.

WORTH BUYING: NO! Not really a game, but not really much of anything else either.
Mambow – 240 MSP
King of the Jungle, or just another platforming cat?
Mambow is a decent platformer for an indie game, It’s kinda fun. It’s really ambitious for an indie game and has a pretty decent story. You’re trying to get your kingdom back and you need to collect medals in each level. The collection aspect of the game kinda got old after a while, and that’s saying something during a demo though. It’s also a pretty challenging game as well.

WORTH BUYING: No. If it were a bit cheaper it might be worth a purchase, but at 240 MSP, I don’t think it’s worth it.
There you have it, One buy, and 2 passes this week, Come back next friday and see what the Indie world has in store for us.
