BobbyFJtown’s Best of E3

Hey everyone, Here’s a list, in no particular order, of what I thought were the best of show at E3.  So sit back and enjoy a look at what I was impressed by.

The Last of Us

The only thing I really enjoyed from the Sony Press Conference and probably my favorite game at E3, This was and still is one of the main reasons I bought a PS3 this year.  (2nd reason was a bluray player and for one of the previous entries in my E3 countdown.)  Set in Pittsburgh and a few other Locales around the country, The story of The Last of Us is one that I cannot wait to be told, how did the “zombies” become zombies, did they fall prey to the ant like fungus or was it something else.  The Last of Us is truly a game I can’t wait for.

Ni No Kuni: The Wrath of the White Witch

A Studio Ghibli (makers of tons of awesome Japanese animated classics like Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle) and Level 5 (Makers of The Dragon Quest series) Have collaborated to make, what I believe is one of the most gorgeous looking RPGs to come out in some time.  It looks like you’re playing a cartoon,  When I first saw this game a few months  ago I was hoping they would have more on it at E3 and they delivered.

Ubisoft had a really strong press conference this year.  I was really surprised by the games they showed, that’s why 2 of them are on my list of the best of E3.  Watch_Dogs was a huge surprise that I really didn’t think much of when they started showing footage, but the detail that was put into this game is astounding.  The AI looks unreal, I was blown away when the guy goes to help the lady that was in a wreck.  The gameplay looks amazing too,  I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Assasin’s Creed 3

This game looks fantastic, I played the previous entries in the series a few times, but this one looks amazing.  Being an Assasin in colonial times seems like a good fit for the direction of the series, I know a lot of gamers were getting tired of being in ancient Rome.  The cool moves that Connor has at his disposal to take on various enemies is unreal.  Can’t wait for this one too!

This game caught me by surprise at E3, I didn’t even know it’s coming out in October.  The game looks so awesome, a steampunk dystopian world, where you’re an assassin trying to get revenge, and it’s made by Bethesda!!!! Sign me up!

Honorable Mention

Skyrim: Dawnguard

You all know how much I love Skyrim, this just amps up my love of the game that much more.  Crossbows, Vampires, new missions, more dragons, this DLC has so much and I can’t wait to play it this summer.  I WANNA GO BACK TO TAMRIEL! NOW!!!

Zone of the Enders: HD Collection

If you haven’t picked up the original 2 games from Konami, do it.  These are wonderful games and I can’t wait to play them in HD.  If you love Mech combat you’ll love this game.  Only this time you won’t need to buy it for the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. It’ll get sold on its game play itself!
