Video game themed things from around the Internet…net…net!

People of the Internet, Lend me your ears and join me on my journey of a few things I found while browsing the ‘net this week! It’s time for this week’s edition of Video game themed things from around the Internet…net…net!

First off this week, We revisit the “Tiny Titan”. This glitch that I pointed out last week featured a player in Madden being programmed as 1’2” tall in game. Since the glitch has been fixed, however not before EA took full advantage of the mistake. After patching the issue they had a weekend full of defensive challenges with the Tiny player. They also did this new trailer for Madden.

Way to go EA(not too often we get to say that!), good job using the mistake as a social media marketing tool!

Next up, tribute to Robin Williams number 8,923,712,943 done by a user in Art academy

williamsIt’s probably one of the best out there.

Last but not least this week. As you know(or don’t )the Fine Bros have a react series of videos of kids reacting to different things. This week its Teens react to the Nintendo!

They brought up Legend of Zelda and I cringed at their reactions. I dislike kids. We are so old.

That’s all I have for you for this week on Video game themed things from around the Internet…net…net! Tune in next week as I teach you how to fly!

Sims goes Spooooooky

With the huge flux of supernatural themed tv shows, (Ghost hunters, Grimm) and movies(Paranormal Activity) it seems only fitting that popular game series the Sims goes the same route!

Introducing The Sims 3: SUPERNATURAL!

Live a supernatural life with your Sims in a new world full of magic, mystery and mischief! The Maxis Label of Electronic Arts Inc. announced that The SimsTM 3 Supernatural Expansion Pack* for PC/Mac is in development and will launch worldwide in September 2012. The latest offering from The Sims Studio allows players to create and live out the lives of supernatural Sims like werewolves, witches, vampires and fairies. Curse or charm your Sims’ lives with powerful spells, volatile elixirs and magical abilities in a world of strange happenings, spooky surprises and even the occasional zombie attack.

The Sims 3 Supernatural gives players the new ability to create werewolves, fairies, witches and more intriguing vampires directly in the Create A Sim tool, customizing characteristics that range from the hairiness of a werewolf’s body to the shape of a fairy’s wings. While playing as supernatural Sims, players will discover new abilities, traits, skills and interactions that enhance their gameplay, including delayed aging for fairies and vampires, innate magic channeling for witches, and lycanthropy for werewolves, which enables them to control their animal instincts and transform at will.

In The Sims 3 Supernatural, players also have the option to learn magical crafts by casting spells and brewing elixirs that will charm or hex their Sims’ lives. These potent concoctions have a wide variety of effects from career-boosting to weight loss and even zombification. The zombification elixir will turn unsuspecting Sims into brain-hungry, shuffling monsters that are driven to wreak havoc on the town. In addition, players have the ability to share their brews with any friends who have The Sims 3.

As players delve into the world of the supernatural and explore the eerie new town of Moonlight Falls, they will uncover enchanted objects and gothic décor, including a sliding bookcase that conceals a hidden lair and a powerful mirror with magical interactions. Players may also choose to embark on a new career path as a mystic fortune-teller or build their skill to become an alchemic master. Meanwhile, the onset of the mysterious lunar cycle will unveil strange revelations, secrets and mysteries that will shake up the entire town.

As part of the integration between The Sims and PopCap’s Plants vs. ZombiesTM,those who pre-order The Sims 3 Supernatural will receive a special Limited Edition version**, which features the exclusive Plants vs. ZombiesTM content pack. Players with this limited edition content can ward off attacking zombies in their game with the famous Pea Shooter from Plants vs. Zombies and dress their Sims with classic zombie-themed attire for the ultimate creepy-chic look.

Simcity announced! 2013!

So here it is. A few days after rumors of a new SimCity game leaked Maxis Released a Trailer and details for the latest in this series that is aimed at being released in 2013. Like most games that far out all we have is plans and concepts however being backed by EA has its benefits so Im sure that this game will have pretty much everything they want.

So far they announced the specs required to play this game on pc:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better or Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0GHz or better

Operating System:
Windows XP/Vista/7

Windows XP: 1.5GB
Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB
PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB RAM

Graphics Card:
ATI X1800 or better*
nVidia 7800 or better*
Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better*

8x or better

They have even announced Bonus Content, The “digital deluxe” version of the game will have Super Villain lairs and European City packs. There has been hints of up to 16 player multiplayer and wait for it, Curved roads and Full 3d. So I may be eating my words on this one. I’m interested in giving it a whirl. Although, We all know what’s going to happen. I’ll spend 3 hours building the city, then like every other version, I’ll burn that mother down! Here’s the trailer!

Game 31: Sim City 4

Game 31: Sim City 4

And we are back to build more cities! You are mayor….. Wait, thats only if you want to be!

Thats right! in sim city 4, maxis introduced more modes!

That’s right, if you order now we will include:

Mayor mode: allows you to control the city with a handful of advisers as you previously did!

*NEW*God Mode: You can trigger disasters, design the landscape and set boundries! also you make it day or night.

*NEW*MySims Mode: The final mode is the MySim mode which enables players to create user-defined Sims, which will live and work in the city the player has created. When moving a Sim into a city, the player can choose from a selection of characters or import others from The Sims. Sims can be killed by certain disasters or catastrophic events, leave the city if conditions are unfavorable, or die of old age. After they die, their “child” sometimes takes over for them by taking their name, house, and job.

But we aren’t done yet! if you order now you’ll also get 3d graphics, Over an Hour of background music.

This program also works with 3rd party content to increase the play value. The last in the series and probably the best. It only took 3 patches and 1 expansion pack: Rush hour would once again increased the play value, allowing players to trace traffic problems, add more lanes and control vehicles.

Originally there was suppose to be just more expansion packs to sim city 4. They never came. Instead Sim City Societies was  released which let alot of people down due to the simplicity of the game.

Chachi Says: These games are great games in their own right, however i still feel that all 5 of them do not deserve a spot in this book. Minor disagreement and we move on! I think tomorrow “I’m gonna shoot shit!”
